Lesson Levels
Beginner (Hatchlings)
This level is for swimmers who are not yet comfortable in the water, have little or no swimming experience and may be afraid of the water. The focus of this level is to help swimmers get comfortable with their faces in the water, relax on their backs and begin learning arm movements. Swimmers as young as 3 or 4 can participate in this group.
Intermediate (Breathers)
This developmental group is for swimmers who can do arm strokes, but are not yet able to breath independently and get air without stopping. Students learn to relax and float in a comfortable position with an instructor. Emphasis is on developing movement patterns for independent breathing while having controlled and efficient force with strokes.
Advanced (Gators)
The advanced swimmer can swim freestyle with good breathing, and is able to float independently on their back. Students focus on improving skill and learning back, breast and butterfly, while mastering basic stroke patterns involved with all four competitive strokes. Other skills such as racing starts and turns will also be developed.
